Curtis Stone has built a career that reaches far beyond television cooking competitions.
The Melbourne-born chef has earned respect in Hollywood through exceptional cooking, a Michelin-starred restaurant, and memorable connections with some of the entertainment industry’s biggest names.
While audiences recently watched him challenge contestants on “MasterChef Australia,” his life outside the kitchen continues to draw just as much attention.
A Chef Trusted by Hollywood

Curtis Stone owns Gwen, the world’s only Michelin-starred butcher shop, located in Hollywood. His recent appearance on “MasterChef Australia” featured a flat iron steak elimination challenge that ended Bella’s time in the competition, adding another memorable moment to the season.
The restaurant has also become a favorite destination for celebrities, including WWE superstar John Cena. Speaking about the wrestling icon, Stone said, “He was so lovely with the team, offering to take photos with them and wanting to see the kitchen and meet the guys who cooked the food.
He also has a very healthy appetite, so it always feels good to cook for someone who orders a lot of food and all the plates come back clean.”
Music, Family, and Memorable Moments
Stone’s experiences are not limited to the culinary world. During the BottleRock music festival in Napa Valley, he appeared on stage with rapper Ludacris. The event became even more memorable when his 11-year-old son, Emerson, joined them to play the drums.
Reflecting on the experience, Stone remarked, “I thought to myself, I’m a kid who grew up in East Keilor. I am still not sure how it all happened.”
Life at home is just as eventful. His wife, Lindsay, known for the television series “Beverly Hills, 90210,” continues her acting career. Their eldest son, Hudson, 14, is pursuing music, while Emerson, 11, is developing as a promising soccer player.
Lasting Connection With “MasterChef Australia”

Despite building a successful career in Los Angeles, Stone has remained closely connected to “MasterChef Australia.” His friendship with judge Poh Ling Yeow dates back to the show’s first season, and he continues to celebrate her achievements.
Speaking about Poh, Stone shared, “She has come to visit me in LA and spent time with me in the kitchen. I am so happy for all her success. She truly deserves it.”
Curtis Stone’s career reflects a rare mix of culinary excellence, television success, and meaningful relationships across entertainment and food.
From serving stars like John Cena to sharing the stage with Ludacris and maintaining strong ties with “MasterChef Australia,” his journey continues to connect professional achievement with memorable personal milestones.
